Résumé
To help understand refrigerant use, industrial refrigeration has been split into three broad sub-sectors, to distinguish those parts of the industrial sector for which there are already good alternatives to HFCs from those which could prove more problematic. These are: small and medium sized systems, usually dedicated to one particular cooling demand. These systems are often located close to the cooling demand; large primary refrigerant distributed systems; large secondary refrigerant chiller systems.
