Résumé

The climatic wind tunnel serves for the simulation of ambient conditions as they occur duringt the flight of an airplane. An industrial refrigeration plant is used to reach the desired air temperature inside the wind tunnel, by using cold brine or a heating system. The focus of the article is on the selection of the brine, refrigerant, different compressor constructions and the plant design (see also this Bulletin, reference 2001-1074).
