Mélanges binaires de frigorigènes de remplacement et naturels : comportement thermodynamique et de phase.

Binary mixtures of alternative and natural refrigerants: thermodynamic and phase behaviour.

Résumé

The thermodynamic and phase behaviour of working fluids on the basis of alternative/natural refrigerant blends which provide a compromise between high condensation pressure, component fractionation, flammability, energy consumption and global warming potential, were investigated. Experimental phase equilibria data for the binary mixtures of natural and alternative refrigerants (R218, R134a, R152a, R32) + R290, (R218, R134a, R152a, R32, RC318) + R600a, (R600, R600a, R290, R218, R152a, RC318, R170) + R717, (R290, R600a, R600) + R744 were obtained for the temperature range 220-300 K at different compositions. Modelling of thermodynamic and phase behaviour was carried out on the basis of the Redlich-Kwong equation of state. Experimental data were used to identify a binary interaction parameter K12. Analytical expressions to predict azeotropy and double azeotropy phenomena in terms of critical parameters and K12 were derived using global phase diagram approach. Possible cases of azeotropy appearance in binary mixtures of natural and alternative refrigerants are described. Cycle calculations for binary mixtures were performed and compromise decisions were chosen.
