Résumé

Flow noise measurements of liquid valves, specially water supply valves and taps, are determined from air-borne sound measurements. Parameters which determines acoustical and hydroacoustical properties of valves cannot be obtained by these measurements. Consequently, the correct prediction of influence for primary and secondary resilient measures is not possible. Only with direct fluid-borne measurements, i.e. with hydrophones, a better insight into sound generation and transmission is achieved. In the article, a method of fluid-borne sound measurement is presented with some results from measured noise of water supply valves and taps.
