Minimization of pressure pulsations in screw compressor discharge piping.

Résumé

A problem of noise and vibration in the piping between the screw compressor and oil separator arises if the natural gas pulsations in the piping get in the resonance with the pulsations sent by the compressor. Several typical piping geometries such as short and a long pipe with the open end and a short pipe with agglomerator have been studied to evaluate the natural frequency of the gas column.
