On optimise les principales parties du compresseur à spirale par des analyses de composant et des expériences. Pour optimiser l'espace entre les axes, on analyse la contrainte et la déformation thermique. On analyse le mouvement orbital de la spirale pour évaluer la stabilité de la spirale en orbite. L'expérience confirme chaque rendement calculé par l'analyse de la chute de pression au moyen d'un programme d'analyse de performance.
