Résumé

The spatial settlement, so called "Osamari" in Japanese, which is one of the intrisincally critical issues of an ice storage system, has been overcome due to obtaining both conveying techniques of ice slurry and simultaneous ice storage technique in plural tanks. For the economic aspect, the ice storage system is in the acceptable level, due to obtaining both techniques to realize a high cold heat output in the melting process enough to be applicable to the agreement of adjustment during the peak load hours of public utilities and to predict temperature history of cold water withdrawn from the tanks in the melting process. We have also established the ice storage system with wide applicability in practical uses, by selecting tap water as the heat storage medium and by setting the system constitution with high flexibility.
