Modélisation avancée d'un éjecteur au CO2 transcritique.

Advanced modelling of a transcritical CO2 ejector.


Two-dimensional unsteady calculations of a transcritical CO2 ejector are performed using a new and well validated density-based solver developed under the OpenFoam library. It is coupled with a tabulated equation of state to evaluate the CO2 properties. A Homogeneous Equilibrium Model and the k-ε closure are chosen as the two-phase and turbulence modellings. Finally, it incorporates a Navier–Stokes characteristic boundary condition to guarantee the accuracy and stability of the simulations. This numerical tool has been extensively validated against experimental data for converging-diverging nozzles and supersonic ejectors. Beyond the characteristic curves of the ejector for different operating conditions, the extended compound-compressible flow theory for real refrigerants is also verified using the present simulations.
