Résumé

This paper presents the pilot study on how different perforation shapes of personalized ventilation air terminal device (ATD) impact the turbulence intensity. Tests were carried out using four ATDs equipped with different perforation shape front panel. Perforation rate during tests was constants and equal to 50% of cross-section ATD. During the tests turbulence intensity, velocity and temperature of supply personalized air were measured. Measurements were performed in nine series, i.e. with difference between supplied and ambient temperature: -2 K, 0 K and +2 K and perforation shape. They also assumed maintaining permanent air flow in the amount of 20 l/s. The results show that a change in a perforation shape, with no change of its cross-section, only slightly influences a change in turbulence intensity of the supplied air stream. It has however a bigger influence on personalized air velocity.
