Résumé

Typically, natural ventilation systems(window ventilator) are designed as same size without considering the wind environment of each household in multi-residential building block. But wind environments around each household in building block are varied by several factors (building shape, height, arrangement changes, vertical location, air velocity, pressure difference, etc.), this results in the difference of ventilation performance in each household. The objective of this study is to evaluate natural ventilation performance of multiresidential building block in urban area using field measurement and CFD simulation. The results showed that the ventilation system installed in accordance with the guideline for natural ventilation system design did not satisfy the ventilation standard. Therefore, when designing a natural ventilation system for buildings in urban area, the unit design needs to consider the wind environment changes that occur due to the surroundings structures.
