Résumé
As an effective energy conversion technology, organic Rankine cycle-vapor compression cycle is gradually gaining widespread attention in academic circles. In this context, an organic Rankine cycle-high temperature heat pump composite system is proposed in this paper to achieve the dual benefits of low-temperature waste heat recovery and steam heating above 100 ◦ C. Focusing on R601&R1233zd(E) and its pure components, the single/multi-objective optimization of the ORC – HTHP is carried out under various performance preferences based on the established thermodynamic and economic-environmental models. The results show that under design conditions, the COPs and exergy efficiency of R601&R1233zd(E) are 21.4% and 16.98% higher than those of R601, while its economic performance lies between those of its two pure components. Sensitivity analysis indicates that the variation trends of COPs and LCOH against decision variables diverge markedly. The algorithm operation results demonstrate that the exploring and optimizing capability of the kangaroo escape optimization is remarkably superior than that of the genetic algorithm, and the extreme COPs = 0.6803 and the least LCOH = 0.0389 are gained. Applying LINMAP to perform precise decision-making on the robust Pareto frontier obtained by NSGA-II, which was evaluated with a relative hypervolume loss (only 0.2%) and screened by hard thresholds, the robust optimal solution is COPs = 0.608 and LCOH = 0.05, delivering optimization rates of 32.6% and 10.3% respectively compared with the design condition (COPs = 0.458, LCOH = 0.055), which markedly enhances the comprehensive performance. Finally, the distribution of component ratio (x) reveals that the performance of R601&R1233zd(E) is superior to its pure components under various performance preferences, indicating the great application potential of zeotropic mixtures in the ORC – HTHP.
