Analysis on dynamic responses of rooms with a hybrid system of chilled ceiling panel and displacement ventilation to the changes in cooling parameters.
Résumé
CFD simulations were conducted on an office with a hybrid system of chilled ceiling panel (CP) and displacement ventilation (DV) to reveal the influence of different cooling parameters on the indoor environment. The importance of the individual influence of the cooling parameters, such as supply air flow rate, temperature and relative humidity of DV, the surface temperature of CP and the area ratio of CP to the ceiling on the PMV index were studied by direct analysis method and variance analysis method. It is found that the supply air velocity has the strongest influence on indoor air temperature and relative humidity distribution, and affects PMV significantly as a result. Then, dynamic responses of the indoor thermal environment to the changes in the supply air velocity were simulated. How average temperature and relative humidity of the occupied zone and non-occupied upper zone in the room vary with time was analyzed. It shows that it may take about 20 minutes for the relative humidity and the average temperature to reach steady again after a change in supply air velocity is exerted. And the dew point temperature of the air layer below the CPs is always lower than the surface temperature of CPs. This indicates that the possibility of dew occurring on the chilled ceiling panel is very less in the room with hybrid system of DV and CPs.
