Résumé

The influence of the expansion devices during the reverse-cycle defrost period was investigated experimentally. The effect of controlling the start, stop and reverse of the fan during the reverse-cycle defrosts was also investigated experimentally. Experiments were conducted on a nominal modular air-source heat pump. Through parallel connection, two copper tubes with outer diameter of 16 and 6 mm and the thermal expansion valve were used as the expansion devices for the defrost cycle respectively. It is shown that the defrost time for the copper tube is shorter than that for the thermal expansion valve in serious condition, and the fluctuation of the high and low pressure is smaller than that of the thermal expansion valve. By controlling the fan, the protection of the high and low pressure, and the icing in the bottom of the air-side exchanger can be avoided availably.
