Refroidissement indirect avec de l'ammoniac dans des supermarchés.

Indirect cooling with ammonia in supermarkets.

Auteurs : NYVAD J., LUND S.

Résumé

The paper is based on a demonstration project in a medium-size supermarket situated in Roskilde, Denmark. The purpose of the project was to demonstrate the use of indirect cooling with ammonia in supermarkets substituting the existing CFC- and HCFC-based refrigeration plants. The existing installation includes 34 display cabinets connected to 34 separate refrigeration units. The new plant includes a 20 feet roof mounted container containing a low charge of two-stage ammonia refrigeration plant of 100 kilowatt cooling capacity and 40 kilowatt freezing capacity. The new plant is using the existing display cabinets and evaporators in the cold storage rooms. The distribution of cold is based on a dual circuit brine system in both cooling and freezing circuit. Measurements have been made both on the old and the new plant where power consumption measurements have corrected afterwards. The overall tendency of the comparison shows a significant improvement.
