Résumé

At the beginning, the article presents the temperature regulation of the human body, which is a very complex system dependent of different parameters. Then, the authors present different applications of phase change materials (PCM) for human thermal regulation. First, the application uses PCM for heat storage in clothes for skiing with releasing heat, when skier is sitting on the cable car. Secondly, PCM can be used for protecting workers against burns, which may be caused by droplets of molten metal. Last but not least, PCM can be used as comfort and therapeutic products such as cushions, rolls or belts.
