Résumé
A simulation study was carried out to investigate the performance of a solar assisted liquid desiccant cooling system with energy storage. The proposed system, which runs in open cycle mode, consists of a liquid desiccant dehumidifier, a solar-assisted regenerator, a liquid desiccant solution storage tank, an indirect evaporative cooler, and some necessary heat recovery devices. The simulation model used to estimate the performance of the proposed system is described. The dominating effects on the operation process are discussed in detail. Analysis of the energy storage capacity regarding calcium chloride, a cost-economic liquid desiccant material was performed.
