Résumé
A numerical model of parallel-flow condenser, which is composed of multi-channel tubes and louvered fins, is established based on the epsilon-NTU method. The tube-side refrigerant was divided into three regions including the superheating, two-phase and supercooling region. The calculation data have a good agreement with the experimental data. The heat transfer coefficient of refrigerant was studied on the basis of the model. The effect of flow distribution on the condenser capacity and pressure drop of refrigerant side was simulated. A critical ratio of the first pass number to the second pass number was observed at which the maximum heat transfer rate and the minimum pressure drop of refrigerant side occur.
