Supermarchés : systèmes frigorifiques à haute performance et faibles émissions de carbone.

High efficiency, low carbon supermarket refrigeration.

Auteurs : CARETTA O.

Résumé

In this article, a new but simple high-efficiency refrigeration system design is described which is suitable for use in supermarkets and is based on standard components so reliability is not adversely affected and maintenance should in fact be reduced. The design of the system is based on energy saving criteria and allows for the efficient and safe adoption of environmentally benign refrigerants, thus providing a valid alternative to meet the increasing needs for low carbon technology and also low TEWI. The system takes advantage of lower condensing temperature, subcooling of liquid refrigerant, raised evaporator temperature, reduced amount of refrigerant circulating, circulating velocities reduced to the minimum required for oil return and suppression of vapour formation in the liquid lines. Since the refrigerant inventory and operating pressure are reduced, consequently so are losses. A model was created to simulate the performance of the new system, which was compared with that of the best existing technology over a range of different working conditions.
