Résumé

The article presents the ice storage air conditioning system adopted in this luxury hotel. The system uses a conventional load calculating method for the rooms 24 hours a day and uses an ice storage system load determining method for the intermittent use. It employs single screw chillers with double operating conditions and ice ball storage cooling equipped with micro-computer control systems, making operating mode switching easy. The authors consider that if the investment can be recovered thanks to a favourable pricing policy offered by the electrical department, the ice storage system can be adopted.
