Transfert de chaleur et chute de pression lors de l'évaporation du dioxyde de carbone à l'intérieur de serpentins hélicoïdaux.

Evaporating heat transfer and pressure drop inside helical coils with the refrigerant carbon dioxide.

Résumé

The paper presents the measurements of the evaporation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of carbon dioxide in two helical coils. Both coils have an inner tube. They were uniformly heated using electricity. Experiments were conducted under various operation conditions including the installation position (vertical or horizontal). The heat transfer coefficients measured were in the range of 10-20 kW/m2K and higher than those of straight tubes. The outside of the coil showed higher heat transfer coefficient than the inside due to the secondary flow motion induced by the centrifugal force. The pressure drop in the helical coils was found to be greater than that of the straight tubes. It is expected that the helical coils are suitable for CO2 heat pumps because of its compactness and excellent heat transfer characteristics.
