Transformateurs de chaleur à sorption solide appliqués aux procédés industriels : évaluation technico-économique.

Solid sorption based heat transformers for application in industrial processes: a techno-economic evaluation.

Résumé

The amount of industrial waste heat in The Netherlands in the temperature range 50-200 °C is about 110 PJ per year. A chemical heat transformer based on the reversible synthesis and decomposition of MnSO4 and NiCl2 ammoniates is able to upgrade waste heat of about 150 °C to middle pressure steam of 240 °C and 33 bars with an efficiency of 33%. Based on the thermal design of a 5 MW semi-continuous system, economic analysis was performed. The pay-out time is typically less than 5 years. Medium-pressure generated with a chemical heat transformer is cheaper than that generated with a conventional gas-fired boiler.
