Turbine à détente/compresseur pour les cycles frigorifiques transcritiques au CO2.

Expander/compressor for transcritical CO2 refrigeration cycles.

Auteurs : NICKL J., WILL G., KRAUS W. E., et al.

Résumé

The efficiency of transcritical refrigeration cycles with carbon dioxide as the refrigerant can be greatly increased, if the throttle valve is replaced by a work extracting expander, which drives a directly coupled compressor. When this auxiliary compressor is used for the second stage of compression, the exhaust pressure of the main recycle compressor can be limited to less than 80 instead of 100 bars, normally needed for such cycles. At the TU Dresden a three-stage expander has been developed and tested, which is suitable for refrigeration systems between 5 and 50 kW capacity. The design of the linear type machine is described. First experimental results are presented and the integration of this new type of machine into refrigeration systems with several evaporators is discussed.
