Utilisation du dioxyde de carbone et des liquides ioniques dans le froid à absorption.

Using carbon dioxide and ionic liquids for absorption refrigeration.

Auteurs : SEN M., PAOLUCCI S.

Résumé

The use of a new set of compounds, known as ionic liquids, is proposed for applications in thermal engineering. Ionic liquids are organic salts that are liquid at room temperature. They have certain properties that make them friendly to the environment: they do not evaporate, they are not toxic, and they are stable as liquids over a very wide temperature range. Also, they are able to dissolve gases, such as carbon dioxide, which makes them candidates for use in absorption refrigeration systems with natural working fluids. Preliminary calculations based on measured enthalpies of absorption of the ionic liquid-CO2 mixture show this to be a viable possibility. However, thermodynamics and thermophysical property values that are needed for design are generally not available. It is necessary to make further measurements and calculations before a specific ionic liquid and a CO2 absorption refrigerator system based on this can be built and tested.
