Résumé

Supermarkets have a considerable high energy consumption, which results partly in low efficiencies of the refrigeration plant and to a considerable part to the air conditioning system. However, the main reasons for high energy use are not the efficiencies of the single components. Moreover, there is a high demand in improving the interaction between them. Heat recovery from the refrigeration plant is already applied in some supermarkets. Usually, this is done in a simple way and is only worthwhile in certain situations. The goal of this work is to develop an intelligent heat recovery system with an advanced central control unit that is particularly adapted to the supermarket case. The surplus heat from the refrigeration plant will be used as economically as possible, still providing the desired cooling in the display cabinets; moreover, the energy usage of the ventilation system will be reduced by improving the internal air flow conditions. For this purpose, not only the consumption of the ventilation system will be considered, but also the consumption of the whole supermarket with all of its components to find the most economical solution to operate the supermarket. SINTEF and Technische Universität Braunschweig developed a new supermarket concept with an integrated control unit, within CREATIV1. Within this project, a dynamic model is currently built to simulate the system under different conditions and to find the optimum control system strategies. For the simulations, the library TIL, created by Technische Universität Braunschweig and the TLK-Thermo GmbH is used, which is based on the object oriented language modelica. The system is developed for a supermarket which is under construction in Trondheim (Norway). The aim is to create a concept which can easily be adapted to other locations with different climate conditions.
