Résumé

More than 40% of primary energy is used for buildings in EU countries and in the USA. Approximately 2/3rds of this is used in residential buildings, and 1/3rd in commercial buildings. The share of energy used for heating and ventilation is roughly two-thirds of the energy delivered for buildings. About 10% of all primary energy is used for ventilation.
