Résumé

The combined treatment extended flower longevity and improved floret opening. In addition, modified-atmosphere packaging retarded leaf and bract senescence, presumably due to the high CO2 concentrations accumulated within the package. Hence, these vegetative parts may serve as a possible source for assimilate import to the floret sink, which is necessary to maintain appropriate floret opening after storage.
