Analyse de la mauvaise distribution du frigorigène dans les échangeurs de chaleur à plaques brasées et son influence sur les performances de la pompe à chaleur.

Analysis of the refrigerant maldistribution in braze plate heat exchangers and its influence in the heat pump performance.

Résumé

In this contribution, an experimental analysis of the refrigerant distribution in an evaporator BPHE as a function of the inlet and outlet conditions will be presented. The BPHE has been tested and evaluated working at several inlet conditions (quality) and outlet conditions (superheat) for different temperature difference in the secondary fluid. As refrigerant propane was used, the refrigerant distribution inside the BPHE has been registered using thermography. It has been seen that: i) the flow maldistribution is present in most of the tests, ii) there is an influence of the external conditions in the refrigerant maldistribution. Based on that a thermal model in order to evaluate this influence on the heat pump performance has been built. From that model, the degradation of the heat exchanger performance has been predicted and the results compared with an evaporator with a uniform distribution. Based on this work, the refrigerant maldistribution can be taken into account in the selection of braze plate heat exchangers in order to improve the final system performance.
