Date : 1900.01.01

Résumé

These proceedings of the IEA Annex 24 workshop, held in Tokyo, Japan, on October 28-30, 1998, contain 8 country reports, and 10 invited papers. They give a broad international overview of the situation in different countries via country reports, including several applications. Contents: Country presentations, case studies and other national activities: absorption cooling good practice guide; system study for district cooling; system study of high-speed generation technology; country presentation of the Netherlands; lithium chlorate as an absorbent for heat pumps; high temperature absorption-compression heat pump for upgrading industrial waste heat; present status of absorption heat pumps in Japan. Invited papers: recent development and market evaluation of gas absorption system in Korea; review and prospects for research and development in China; experience with district cooling systems, thermal energy storage and cogeneration in Malaysia; development of gas-fired absorption air conditioners for residential use; HYCOM activities in the development of absorption cooling systems; air cooled absorption chiller development activities in Japan; optimisation of absorption systems using thermo-economics. Some of the articles will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
