Coefficients de transfert de chaleur lors de l'ébullition libre nucléée de propane, de butane et de leurs mélanges.

Pool boiling heat transfer coefficients of propane, butane, and their mixtures.

Résumé

In the work, pool boiling heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of R290 (propane), R600a (isobutane) and their mixtures are measured from a plain copper tube of 19.00 millimeter outside diameter and 180 millimeter long. The pool temperature was maintained at about 4 deg C and the heat flux was varied from 20 to 90 kilowatts/m2 with an interval of 10 kilowatts/m2. The compositions of the mixtures were 25, 50 and 75% of propane, respectively. Test results show that HTCs of R290 are 15% higher than those of R22 while those of R134a and R600a are 15 to 33% lower than those of R22, respectively. HTCs of the hydrocarbon mixtures are up to 35% lower than the values calculated by a simple ideal mixing rule.
