Résumé
The exergy loss rate of convective heat transfer can reflect quantitatively on the performance of fluid flow and heat transfer. The exergy loss rate equations were derived by the balances of heat and entropy in the control volume. The performances of several natural refrigerants (ammonia, carbon dioxide, propane) and several freon refrigerants were obtained using exergy loss rate equations under the same heat transfer conditions. The results show that under the same conditions the performance of three natural refrigerants (such as ammonia) is better than that of common freon refrigerants (such as R114).
