Condensation à basse température pour réduire la pollution par les composés organiques volatils.

Low temperature condensation for reduction of volatile organic compound pollution.

Résumé

The paper deals with the study of a heat exchanger used to condense volatile organic compounds in vapours. A test rig was built to simulate the different stages of a condensation equipment. The temperature levels of the vapour mixture could be varied in the range of interest (from 0 to 30 °C) as well as those of the cooling fluid (from -90 to 0 °C) for several flow rates. It has been shown that condensation with fogging occurred. Theoretical thermal performances are compared with results of measurements made in an industrial plant. The differences can be explained by the presence of fog with the vapours.
