These proceedings contain 9 papers presented at this technical meeting, held in Bingen, Germany, on the following themes: evolution of a refrigerating plant in terms of economic and ecological efficiency; developmental tendencies of a semihermetic compressor with optimized characteristics for procurement, use and recycling; optimization of the seasonal energy efficiency of scroll compressors; influence of different operating conditions on the interaction between the components in the refrigerant cycle; typical compressor and component damage, origin and prevention; practical experience during the conversion of maintenance guidelines in Holland; cooperation for optimized refrigerant recycling, merged into the refrigeration cycle process; meaning of the European guideline WEEE (2002/96/EG) during the installation of refrigerating and air-conditioning equipment; CO2-emission regulations: possible effects on refrigeration and air conditioning.
