Résumé

The heavy ion synchrotron SIS100 is using superconducting fast ramped superconducting magnets, which are to be operated in cycles of up to 1 Hz. The cryogenic system of SIS100 consists of six independently cooled sectors with about 50 magnets connected to the common supply and return headers. Cooling a system in parallel channels requires some means to ensure that all channels are provided with an adequate mass flow rate. Therefore the helium supply header of the magnet cooling circuit of the SIS100 synchrotron will be equipped with heat exchangers (recoolers). These recoolers are essential for achieving a stable distribution of the helium flow between the parallel cooling channels of one SIS100 sector. The design of the heat exchangers and the calculated performance for different operation modes of SIS100 will be presented as well as the results of the heat transfer measurements.
