Résumé
This document contains 10 papers presented at this annual symposium, held in Hanover, Germany. It is an update of new EU and national directives and regulations highlighting the impact on the refrigeration and air-conditioning market in Europe. The focus of the symposium is the so-called F-Gas legislation related to the Kyoto Protocol, with a focus on European and national proposals as well as recently enforced regulations. Topics: EU legislation on fluorinated greenhouse gases and the European refrigeration industry; national regulations with regard to refrigerants; assessment of refrigerant alternatives; energy efficiency improvements; training, certification and system inspections; IPCC/TEAP special report "Safeguarding the ozone layer and the global climate system: issues related to HFCs and PFCs"; EU recycling laws: fragmentation and uncertainty.
