Résumé

A simulation model for CO2 air-conditioning system in vehicle was developed in this paper. The model was used to investigate the effect of throttle tube flow area on the performance of CO2 air-conditioning system. The simulation results showed that under city condition, the operation state of CO2 air conditioning was affected by the throttle tube flow area significantly. The system condensation pressure could be too large and the system could not work stably when the throttle tube flow area was too small. The coefficient of performance (COP) of CO2 air-conditioning system would decrease appreciably when the throttle tube flow area increased from 0.5 to 1.3 mm2. There existed a maximum system cooling capacity with the throttle tube flow area increasing from 0.5 to 1.3 mm2. When the orifice flow area was 1 mm2, the CO2 air-conditioning system would achieve a maximum cooling capacity.
