Étude expérimentale et numérique des performances d’un échangeur de chaleur à revêtement en structure organométallique (MOF) soumis à adsorption par inversion de pression.

Experimental and numerical study on the performance of a MOF-coated heat exchanger under pressure swing adsorption.

Résumé

In this study, an adsorber with a metal-organic framework (MOF)-coated heat exchanger is examined under a single pressure swing process to assess its performance before being integrated into a batch-mode hybrid compression-adsorption heat pump system. The adsorbent–adsorbate working pair used is MIL-101–CO2. The results indicate that at a water flow rate of 0.5 liters per minute, the adsorber increases the water temperature by 13 K. Various pressure swing conditions, including pressurization speeds and degree of pressure increments, are tested and analyzed. On one hand, heat transfer analysis of the adsorber is experimentally conducted. On the other hand, a numerical model capable of predicting experimental results is developed. Compared to previous studies, this paper provides a more comprehensive understanding of the transport phenomenon inside this type of adsorber.
