This document has been prepared under the international auspices of the WMO and the UNEP and is the final result of a two-year endeavor. 305 scientists from the developed and developing world contributed to its preparation and review. Extract from the table of contents: halocarbon, ozone, and temperature changes; advances in understanding the processes involved; impacts of ozone changes (ultraviolet radiation at the earth's surface; climate effects of ozone and halocarbon changes); predictions of future changes (halocarbon scenarios for the future ozone layer and related consequences; predicting future ozone changes and detection of recovery).
