Fabrique de glace à adsorption entraînée par les gaz d'échappement pour les bateaux de pêche de taille moyenne et petite.

Adsorption ice-maker driven by exhaust gas for medium and small fishing vessels.

Auteurs : WANG S., WU J., WANG R., et al.

Résumé

Medium and small fishing vessels rarely use heat recovery systems. Sea fishermen have to take a lot of ice to keep their catches fresh when they go fishing. A new adsorption icemaker designed for use in fishing vessels has been built. The paper presents the design and test results of this ice-maker with consolidated adsorbent and activated carbon-methanol pair powered by waste heat. Experimental results show that 18-20 kg/h with a heat and mass cycle and 11-13 kg/h without a heat and mass recovery cycle have been obtained, respectively. After the flake icemaker is replaced by an auxiliary chilled-ethylene glycol source the average cooling power reaches experimentally 3.3 kW. Furthermore, a mean COP (coefficient of performance) of 0.183 and a mean SCP (specific cooling power) of 30 W/kg carbon have been achieved when the average ethylene glycol temperature is controlled from -7 to -1 °C.
