Résumé
These proceedings contain papers of this IIR workshop, held in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, May 27-28, 1999. Extract from the table of contents: atmospheric formation of spongy ice; capillary forces in liquid water bridges between two horizontal plates and their behaviour; the continuous-properties model for melting and freezing applied to fine-crystalline ice slurries; experience with ice slurry; experimental study and calculation method of transport characteristics; research and development activities in Japan; heat transfer of ice slurries in pipes; ice slurry generation by direct evaporation of refrigerant; design experience with flo-ice and binary ice as a secondary refrigerant; new technology system for production and storage of ice; ice-water two-phase flow behaviour in ice heat storage system; address list of members of the IIR Working Party on ice slurries. The papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
