Résumé

In today's retail environment, supermarket refrigeration systems are constrained by the need to use reliable and familiar technology. External pressure from "environmentally aware" customers and influence of various pressure groups on their customers can also have a bearing on the selection of refrigeration system type and function. The paper shows the diverse choice of plant and systems available to the supermarket industry.
