Résumé

The LaFe(11.985)Co(0.915)Si(1.1)B(0.2) and LaFe(11.03)Co(0.87)Si(1.1)B(0.2) alloy ingots were prepared from raw materials with commercial purity, and these compounds and Gd sphere particles with commercial purity were prepared by plasma method. The LaFe(11.985)Co(0.915)Si(1.1)B(0.2) sphere particles and Gd metal particles were tested on the reciprocating room temperature refrigerator, which was developed by the authors' research group, under the conditions of the same granularity and the same running frequency. Results show that the maximum cooling temperature span of LaFe(11.985)Co(0.915)Si(1.1)B(0.2) compound sphere particles is 10.6°C and the maximum cooling power of the compound is 14.0 W; the maximum temperature span of these compound sphere particles series is 12.7°C and the maximum cooling power is 12.W; the maximum temperature span of Gd particles is 11.9°C and the maximum refrigeration power is 18.3 W. If cooling bed was lengthened, the maximum temperature span of Gd metal and Gd-Tb metal series reaches 26.9°C. Both the LaFe(11.985)Co(0.915)Si(1.1)B(0.2) and Gd are typical second-order phase transition materials with a higher magnetocaloric effect.
