Résumé

The European EPBD directive initially emerged as a way to label buildings to inform the consumer. At that time, it sought to compare its performance with other products, such as a washing machine. However, the climatic, economic-social, and energy context is forcing the evaluation of the actual energy performance with pecuniary links. This article compares the actual Valencia weather in 1992, 2002, 2012, 2022, and 2023 with the official one used by the Spanish certification scheme. An old, existing multi-family building is rehabilitated to get a label A.Additionally, it meets the restrictions of the current CTE-HE. The paper assesses the impactof considering the actual weather on their energy performance in both states, before and afterrehabilitation, as well as on their energy rating, and discusses the outcomes. All computationshave been performed with the recognized software tool CERMA.
