Résumé
The paper provides a review of the literature concerning the application of CO2 as a refrigerant in a modern refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems, starting with the year 1990, during which the revival of the CO2 refrigeration technology was launched by Prof. Gustav Lorentzen. The paper deals with results of theoretical and experimental investigations concerning various applications of CO2. Furthermore, the development of components for CO2 systems is discussed.
