La performance d'un congélateur domestique fonctionnant au GPL par une méthode de simulation informatique.

The performance of a chest freezer using liquefied petrol gas by computer simulation method.

Résumé

In this work, a computer simulation programme of a chest freezer was run twice using R12 properties modelling subroutine, then replacing that by LPG properties modelling subroutine. The LPG consists of: 26.4% propane, 56.4% butane and 17.2% isobutane. The implications of using LPG as the refrigerant in the chest freezer designed to work with R12 are investigated, and a performance comparison will be addressed. The implications are related to: power consumption, refrigeration capacity, heat rejection, COP and heat ratio, which is the ratio of heat rejected to heat absorbed for the cycle. Higher values of COP and compressor work were obtained using LPG. For other effects such as the environmental impact, the availability and cost, LPG is considered more suitable for use than R12.
