Résumé

The design and results obtained following the installation of a Flo-Ice system in a Dutch supermarket are described. Flo-Ice is a specific application of an indirect system. The decrease in refrigerant emissions is due to a lower amount of refrigerant, and energy consumption is reduced. The system is suitable for natural refrigerants. The higher purchase price of the Flo-Ice installation is still a handicap.
