Mesures pour comparer le lancement de neige carbonique et le froid mécanique pendant le transport frigorifique de produits laitiers dans des véhicules isolés.

Comparative measurements between snow shooting and mechanical refrigeration during the transportation of dairy products in insulated bodies.

Résumé

More than 90% of the refrigerated transport industry uses mechanical refrigeration. Another method is snow shooting which is when pressurized liquid carbon dioxide is injected via a snow lance into a permeable snowbag mounted near the ceiling of the insulated container. When liquid carbon dioxide is forced through a pressure reducing nozzle, the liquid converts into a mixture of cold snow and gas. In the paper, measurements of reasonable comparable case studies between snow shooting and mechanical refrigeration during the transportation of dairy products in insulated bodies are presented. It was concluded that snow shooting provides an alternative to mechanical refrigeration and is able to maintain temperature just as effectively.
