This standard is part of a series of twelve standards (see also this Bulletin, references 2001-0609 and 2001-0611 to 0620). Each standard defines at different levels requirements for refrigerated display cabinets for the sale or display, or both, of food products (it does not cover refrigerated vending machines, cabinets intended for use in catering and similar non-retail applications, or food service cabinets). This part defines the requirements for construction, selection and use of materials, components and performance of refrigerated display cabinets. It specifies the reference to other Parts of the standard and specifies the requirements for marking and the list of characteristics to be declared by the manufacturer.
