Optimisation thermodynamique et essais sur le terrain de systèmes avancés de surpression au CO2 avec sous-refroidissement mécanique intégré.

Thermodynamic optimization and field tests of advanced CO2 booster systems with integrated mechanical subcooling.

Résumé

The second F-Gas Regulation revolutionized the investigation and development of CO2-based architectures, which are the standard refrigeration solution for medium- to large-centralized refrigeration systems in Europe. Since 2014, CO2-based refrigeration architectures have evolved a lot in terms of energy efficiency. Starting from the first reliable architecture, the booster system with parallel compression, manufacturers are providing more efficient solutions based on ejectors, mechanical subcooling systems, and flooded evaporators, among others. This work concentrates on the evolution of the integrated mechanical booster system developed by the company TEWIS Smart Systems, the ECO2Smart system. The communication details the thermodynamic optimization and evaluation of this architecture and provides field data supporting the simulations.
