Résumé

In Taiwan, the power consumption of convenient stores is higher than retailers’. This study focuses on not only saving power consumption but also providing customers a comfort environment and good shopping atmosphere. The experiment place where placed the sensors is at the convenient store in the business section of Taipei city. Because of convenient store’s marketing strategies, to change the showcase to refrigerator is not feasible and to make the temperature of showcase area is lower than indoor average temperature. Through developing a Men to Machine, Machine to Men (M2M) comfort energy saving platform, the wireless sensor network collects environment data of temperature, humidity and velocity for determining the optimal settings of air-conditioning to achieve the goal of saving energy and a comfort environment. Consisting of using implementing the proposed M2M comfort energy saving platform in the convenient store to compare to original air-conditioning setting, Predicted mean vote (PMV) are respectively around 0.4 and 0~0.5, and the power consumption of air-conditioning are respectively 1.2~1.8 and 1.8~2.0 kWh. The proposed platform is not only save 15% of power consumption of air-conditioning, but also to keep the same comfort environment in the convenient stores.
