Résumé

Climatic and technical aspects of artificial hay drying with cold ambient air in the mountain region of Bieszczady, Poland, are considered. On the basis of meteorological data (air temperatures and relative humidities) for summer months in the region, and the results of a 4-year experiment on drying hay, details on correct fan selection and design of drying plants are presented. Practical recommendations on hay drying time and techniques are given.
